Chinese companies see the world as their oyster. They know that Beijing’s plans to help develop rich pearls in emerging markets will support their endeavors overseas, and help them find growth in jobs and revenues beyond that which can be provided by the Chinese consumer alone. It’s a long-term strategy Chinese businesses can count on. Of course, for the strategy to continue in the long run, Xi will have to stick to his “win-win” mantra in order to convince countries to keep their doors open in a world that is questioning some facets of globalization.
