Leadership seems to be missing in so many places; so-called leaders have devolved into managers, micromanaging to retain their control. For many of those in leadership positions, confusing times have encouraged them to fall back on beliefs, ideologies and theories rather than actually lead.
We have been observers of leaders for the 42 years that we have been in business. So we have perspectives that, while not scientific or philosophical or even managerial in orientation, can perhaps offer a few insights that can address the question: What are the characteristics of effective leaders?
