As we have written, Americans are passing over a bumpy road to the New Economy. That rough ride is making the road to what we have called a Better Life more attractive, but still bumpy for individuals. But individuals are, bit by bit, action by action, moving aheadin their transition from focusing on a Better Living, including a focus only on increasing their standard of living, to concentrating on a Better Life, including resetting priorities and values to yield meaning, growth and happiness. Theyare making the transition by changing their behavior in a variety of ways andt hen changing their minds about the way they relate to the economy.
