            The American frontier era is back and the appeal of the frontier mindset is growing. While high-tech leaders capture headlines coming out of Washington, D.C., political leaders are giving new expression to concepts and experiences originating in the nineteenth century American frontier -  a time with different economic conditions and a period that had no radios, automobiles, internet, airplanes or nuclear weapons. A collision of concepts and beliefs from that American past and our present day is just beginning to play out.
