Anomalies continue to surface, each signaling the changes that are taking place in the economy, as the United States enters into a New Economy. When we introduced the idea of a New Economy in 2015, we outlined how the old economy was no longer working well, and new processes and structures were surfacing to give form to the latest economic iteration. As part of the New Economy, companies are focused on Rampaging Efficiencies, exploiting technology and a globalized workforce to generate the shareholder and bottom-line returns they seek. Meanwhile, more and more individuals are focusing on a Better Life, exploiting technology and a shift away from long work hours to create the quality of life they now seek, as more people get past or get adjusted to the negative consequences of the New Economy. Both corporations and individuals seem to be approaching the New Economy in their own ways, to meet their own needs and desires. The dynamic between efficiencies and different lifestyles will push the spread of new technology at both the business and personal levels.
